The Bristol Public Schools and the Bristol Police Department have established an agreement concerning the School Resource Officer Program.  

Goals and Objectives:

• Establish a positive working relationship in a cooperative effort through the SRO program, with the intent of preventing juvenile delinquency in assisting student development.
   
• Maintain a safe environment on school premises which approve conducive to learning.
   
• Promote positive attitudes regarding the role of police and society.
   
• To the greatest extent possible, implement and/or practice in Restorative Practice activities such as conferencing on skill building (co-facilitated by BPD and BPS)
