Bristol Public Schools offers the convenience of Central Registration. New students (Pre-K - 12th grade) and those transferring within our district will need to register with the Bristol Board of Education.

State of CT Medical Requirements to enter school:
Medical clearance must be obtained prior to the first day of school. Please upload your child's medical information to the online registration form or submit to the Bristol-Burlington Health District via email or fax to: Liz McGuire RN - School Health Services Coordinator. The email address is: BBHDSchoolHealth@bristolct.gov. The fax number is 860-584-3814. Parents can also have their child's health care provider send the medical information via fax to the attention of Liz McGuire - Bristol-Burlington Health District. Parents will be contacted directly if there are any questions or concerns about the medical information submitted.

Children of Bristol residents who wish to be considered for preschool must complete a preschool application. Edgewood Pre-K Academy will contact you after you submit a completed application with further information.
Edgewood Pre-K Academy is a part-day program for three and four-year-olds residing in Bristol. Three-year-old scholars attend in the morning, and four-year-old scholars attend in the afternoon. Tuition is charged on a sliding fee scale, and transportation is provided for four-year-old students.
Students who turn 3 by September 1, 2025, click below to complete an application. Edgewood Pre-K staff will contact you to follow up on the next steps. We look forward to your child joining our Edgewood community!

Registration for Pre-K Scholars is a two-step process.
STEP ONE:

When Edgewood Pre-K Academy contacts you and/or sends you the pre-k registration link:
- Click on the registration link provided, create an account or sign in to your enrollment account if you already have one, and begin completing the registration form
- The following documents will need to be uploaded on your device (via scan, dropbox, or photo library)
- For proof of your child's age, please upload one (1) of the following:
- birth certificate
- current passport
- current Permanent Resident Alien Card
- For proof of Parent's identity, please upload one (1) of the following:
- current driver's license
- current State of CT issued ID
- current passport
- current Permanent Resident Alien Card
- For primary proof of residency, please upload (1) of the following:
- current lease - signed and dated by both tenant and landlord
- current mortgage statement
- current house property tax bill
- For secondary proof of residency, please upload (1) of the following:
- pages 1 and 2 of a current electric or gas utility bill showing "service address"
- current auto insurance showing name and current address
- current pay stub showing name and current address
- current determination letter showing name and current address from BHA, DSS, SS, SSDI, or Husky

English Registration Link for School Year 2025-2026 (August 28, 2025 – June 2026)

Children of Bristol residents who will be five (5) years old between September 2, 2024 and September 1, 2025 are eligible to start kindergarten in school year 2025-206.
The following documents will be needed to complete registration:

Once registration has been completed, your child's school will contact you to select classes.

If you live with a friend or family member a notarized Residency Affidavit Form (below) needs to be printed, completed, and submitted annually to the Bristol Board of Education. The following must accompany the notarized Residency Affidavit Form:

- Host’s ID (the person with whom you live) – please supply (1) of the following:

In accordance with the CT General Assembly regulations regarding student withdrawal, the following procedures are to be implemented in BPS:
Students 18 Years of Age or OlderA student who is eighteen years of age or older may withdraw from school provided such parent, person, or student appears in-person at the school and signs a withdrawal form.
Students 17-18 Years of AgeThe parent or person having control of a child seventeen years of age may withdraw such child from school and enroll such child in an adult education program pursuant to section 10-69.
Such parent or guardian shall personally appear at the school and sign an adult education withdrawal and enrollment form to be provided by the school counselor at the time the parent or guardian appears in person to withdraw the student.
Students Under the Age of 17The parent or person having control of a child under seventeen years of age may contact the Central Registration Office or the student's school to obtain the digital withdrawal link.
Current Students Who Have Moved to Another TownIf you have moved out of Bristol, please complete a Withdrawal Form
Current Students Who Will Be Homeschooled
If you are homeschooling your child, please complete BOTH a Withdrawal Form and an Intent to Homeschool Form

If you wish to request that your child attend a school different from the school assigned to your address, please complete the Out-of-Area Request Form. IF YOUR REQUEST IS APPROVED, TRANSPORTATION IS NEVER PROVIDED.
